Hey ladies!

For about a week, I've had a strong urge to pee. All. The. Time. Like a constant pressure/tingly feeling in the lower part of my goin area. After peeing, it feels uncomfortable in that area, bit painful.
I assumed it was a UTI so picked up some antibiotics (Macrobid, 3 day course) from a chemist which could prescribe antibiotics through a questionnaire.
Pills taken. By around day 5 I felt a little better, like the urgency wasn't so bad. Today, it's horrendous! I'm wondering if its even a UTI now. Getting a docs appointment is like gold dust atm but I will certainly keep trying next week.
Perhaps its not a UTI. I know I won't know until I get assessed by a doc, just wondering if anyone has gone through the same, what it turned out to be and if there's anything that made you feel better? I'm trying to drink more water but I just can't get comfortable and its driving me mad!

Ty :)

May not be the right antibiotic for your particular UTI. Can you drop a wee sample into the gp so they can do a proper analysis?

I used to have recurrent cystitis with no infection. Lots of water, avoid chillies and acidic food, and see if you can get some cystitis relief sachets from the chemist...I think it it's potassium citrate. It makes the wee less acidic so helps the symptoms.
