After pains

I had my second ds 8 days ago, in the last 2 days my after pains have ramped up massively. It feels like I'm about to give birth again, I cant talk when they are happening and I'm getting about 20 minutes of on and off contractions a few times a day. I've no temperature and my bleeding has slowed down. Has anyone got any advise on how to cope?

I'm taking Paracetamol and ibuprofen but they are barely taking the edge off.

Any advice would be really appreciated. Thank you

I would contact the hospital where you gave birth, this is not something that you should have to put up with.

The worst should be over by Saturday, maybe today by even.
I had cocodamol prescription 12 yrs ago, but I understand that's not allowed now.

It will be worse if you have a 3rd+ DC. Need to ask the GP in advance for some prescription painkillers.

Speak to your midwife. With each baby the after pains got worse but as the days moved on the intensity lessened. The fact they’ve ramped you in last two days needs considering. I actually ended up with an infection.
