Prolonged bleeding whilst on Cerazette

I stopped taking Cerazette in March after starting HRT. I had three heavy periods then decided to go back on it. That was end of June. I had no bleeding until 31st August evening and I am still bleeding 12 days on. I am worried to death. It started very dark, almost black but is now bright red with clots. It's not heavy but I have to wear pads day and night. I think it must be the pill but my health anxiety has kicked in and I am convinced I have cancer.

Hi. I was just about to post asking for advice for myself and seen your post. I’m late 30’s and have been taking Cerazette for almost five years as I was bleeding constantly real heavy and was experiencing migraines feeling sick high temp etc. I also have anxiety which makes it worse. Once I started to to take the pill I was fine and have taken it continuously so hadn’t had a period for years. But two weeks ago I suddenly started to bleed again. I haven’t missed a dose as I know you can break through bleed if you do. It was only light at first but it’s the same as you’ve experienced and is now bright red with clots. My migraines have come back with a vengeance, I’m hot and achey my mood is shocking and just feel crap in general. Going to phone the doctors in the morning but what with the current situation I’ll be lucky if i even get to speak to a Gp never mind see one. Anyway I’m sorry I can’t really offer any advice. Hope things improve for you.

Thank you. I’m still bleeding today although it’s lighter. It’s now been two weeks. I have a scan booked for a week on Wednesday so will know more then. I’m hoping it’s just a blip but like you I have health anxiety and am fearing the worst. I just can’t understand why I’m still bleeding and where is it coming from. Obviously I know my womb (lol) but what is triggering it??
