Pain relief for Endometriosis

Ways to relieve pain and discomfort from endometriosis? Tried hot water bottles, cooling pads and tens machines. wondering if anything else is out there!

Sorry op but in the long term that's the only real solution - get rid of the ovaries.

Are you on any birth control? Anything that stops ovulation will help

Hi, stage 3 Endo here.

I use a combo of paracetamol, ibuprofen and codeine 30mg. Not ideal but it's usually 3 days out of the month I'm in severe pain and I don't take pills any other times so 🤷🏻‍♀️

I also have a hot water bottle on my tummy and back (fun in summer), many many HOT baths.

It's was suggested to me to take tranexamic acid but I didn't think it helped me, some people it does.

Eventually I'll need more surgery I think, but for now I don't want them to take any organs from me so I'm holding out. Hysterectomy isn't a cure, so I don't want that because I don't want to take away my already slim chances of conceiving. If you're under a consultant for it, it's a good idea to talk through your options with them.

stage 4 endo. i use ibruprofen and paracetamol together, and am also very reliant on red hots baths. I don't get on with opioid painkillers. Was prescribed pregabalin but didn't like that either. On waiting list for surgery, but have completed my family - appreciate this might not be an option if you need to conserve your fertility.

My clinic also offers lots of hormonal treatments, and recommends a low fodmaps diet if it's in your bowel. I should be doing this, but I cannot forsake onions or garlic.
