Bleeding between periods

Not due for another 2 weeks but yesterday I had light bleeding which I thought was an early period but the bleeding tapered off, no blood today but having light cramps. Rung the gp yesterday they just said go to the hospital if it doesn’t stop. Have booked a smear. Am concerned as I had a large ovarian cyst in January which they ran tumour markers for fortunately came back harmless. Am not on contraception. Does anyone have similar experiences?

I used to spot between periods all the time and periods also got heavier. I got diagnosed with fibroids which were causing it. I'm surprised your GP told you to go to hospital! I got sent to A&E by the NHS phone thing when i was bleeding so heavily i had to stay sitting on the toilet and even then they didn't do anything other than take basic obs and send me home!
Is there any chance you could be pregnant?

Sadly, no not pregnant, have done a few pregnancy tests... oh my gosh that sounds scary... hope it’s all better for you now

Has the bleeding stopped? I'm having a lot of issues including mid cycle bleeding. I have been referred to gyn. Hope you get answers soon.
