Hi
I Been suffering for years with IBS and over the last year have developed a rectol prolapse which is now full thickness.
Just before lockdown I saw a specialist who suggested A flexible siediostomy ( prob spelt wrong sorry )
After lockdown slowed it down I managed to have the procedure last Friday , the surgeon said thankfully he found no evidence of any cancer and said I could have surgery to fix the prolapse but suggested as it wasn’t hanging out all the time that at 45 I should probably delay it.
That’s fine with me I just wonder now how to manage it day to day. Without being rude or grosse it makes me feel dirty and disgusting , I spend so much time in the toilet and I worry about going anywhere and needing to use the toilet. I wear sanitary pads as I do get bum discharge from it and my moods are just so very low.
My vagina is fine no prolapses at all there I guess I’m just hoping to find some advice please x many thanks x
