Hi all!!! I had my last smear December 2018.... normal, had my coil fitted a week later... all good except heavy periods but that is better now. From about December 2019 iv had spotting between my periods.... it usually is about mid cycle when I ovulate (I have copper coil so still ovulate) but sometimes also after sex. I rang my GP in February for an appointment about it and she then lockdown happened and I only got a telephone appointment and she said sounds normal and she will do swabs after the lockdown........ iv since spoken to them again and they still won’t do any swabs at the moment as my last smear was normal and in with the same partner I have been for years. But I am worried it’s not normal for me iv never spotted before and Iv been having periods since I was 10 years old so we are talking almost 20 years of periods with no spotting now suddenly spotting after sex and in the middle of the month. It scares me and I want to know what it is. Is it really normal? And nothing to worry about?
