Postpartum bleeding

Hi all, sorry if this is tmi!
Had my little girl 8 (almost 9) weeks ago, my period came back like clockwork but was relatively light. Yesterday I started bleeding again and today I am bleeding (relatively heavily) bright red blood and passing clots. I will be calling my doctor tomorrow morning but was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this? I've got myself in a frenzy worried that I'm haemorrhaging ☹️

Not had this but something to think about:
If you are leaking through a sanity towel every hour and into your knickers or if you're changing every two hours with blood clots bigger than small change then you need to be in A&E.
If it's less, then a GP can prescribe you something to help with heavy bleeding.
