Tender lower abdomen

Hi
I’m desperate for any advice. I’ve had a tender, cramp like lower abdomen for a few months now. Worse in the morning when I’ve woken up. It feels better when I’ve been to the toilet. Doctors have done bloods, urine, and smear all ok. It’s just not going away though. Rang up today and the doctor said we should do a scan to rule out anything. She’s not worried but as I have health anxiety she said it’s best we check everything. She mentioned IBS. I’ve never had blood in stools. I’m 47 so could this be my age too? I’m sick with worry. 😔

Hello! Very interested to know if your pain feels like it's radiating across your pelvic area?
I've been diagnosed with pelvic Inflammatory Disease and this is a really common advancement from BV? Which again can be symptoms less. Both need antibiotics to treat.
I just wonder as it's hard to test for it but your symptoms sound very similar to mine.

Hello Naplavni
Yes it does, mild cramps like before a period. Across my lower abdomen and I even feel it around my hips if that makes sense. How did they diagnose this? Thank you for reply!

Exactly the same for me! I feel sick with it and lower back pain like PMS but maybe a bit worse.
My GP suspected upper UTI but I had negative infection markers in my urine. They did an external examination by pressing on my abdomen and from that with other symptoms they suspect PID

Sorry to ask but (bit tmi) have you noticed a change in your discharge? Mine was a bit yellow/green on toilet paper and that's a big tale tale sign for a bacterial infection.

They can swab for it too so I think if you feel poorly with it perhaps ask about this! X

Hello
Ohh my, yes with the discharge, I always wear a liner! With COVID I haven’t actually been examined by the doctor, just over the phone. I wish I could have a diognosis sooner, especially if it that easy by an examination. It’s so worrying waiting. It’s making me feel worse with my anxiety 😔

Yeah .. I think it's worth the visit to be honest just incase you need the antibiotics. I have health anxiety too 😔 really plays on your mind doesn't it. Then all of a sudden you notice other red flag signs which aren't really there!
Hope you feel better soon!!
