Can your waters break and then stop?

I'm 32+1 with my second baby. My second baby also came at 32 weeks
This morning it felt as if my waters went as I couldn't control the water and soaked through 3 pads and it was clear. I've come in to be observed and they checked me with the specular and couldn't find any water that had gathered during the half hour I laid down. I've also had a pad on since and nothing has come out since. Being kept in for 24 hours for monitoring but just looking for some advice
