anyone else have fibrocystic breasts?

Hi guys
Just looking for anyone else that has Fibrocystic Breasts?
I came off the pill in December but have noticed that my hormones seem to have only just returned to "normal" the past few cycles. So my past few cycles I've noticed my periods are heavier and the sides of my breasts and under arm has become quite sensitive and lumpy. Didn't know if it was a cyst since it's painful but have linked it to hormonal increases during my cycle.

I have PCOS, suspected Endometriosis. Every period (I'm very very irregular) I get big cysts/ lumps in my armpits, breasts and sometimes upper arms too. They are sometimes painful and they either burst or go down on their own each time. I've been to GP several times and been referred to have them checked a couple of times. I now only go to the GP if they haven't gone down after 4 weeks. But I only do this on the advise of my GP. It's always worth going to GP to get lumps checked to be safe. Even after being seen a few times the GP said that if I am remotely concerned about them then to always have them checked.

@compulsiveliar2019 I've also been told by my gp to go if I'm either worried about it if it feels different or if the pain/swelling lasts longer than a few weeks continuously. At the moment the pain and lumps go after a day or two so I know it's down to the fibroids.

Hi, I posted about this a few weeks ago.

I have this.

I came off my injection 6 months ago but I've only just had a period recently. I called the doctor as I've noticed one lump in particular is more pronounced although there is lots of lumps. She said I needed to wait at least 3 weeks to see if it goes down.

Ive has a good feel and I think I can feel lots of bumps mostly in the left breast. I have also been to the breast clinic on 2 occasions earliest was last year.

I think I'm currently ovulating so I feel like things are slightly more tender but makes sense why I have so many lumps.

If I'm still worried in 3 weeks I'll call.

It's so annoying as they say to come back if there's any change but then they ask you to wait a 3 week.

Have you seen the GP? are they generally lumpy or is there a specific one that is of particular worry?

I've been to the breast clinic twice in the past both times it was the same breast.

Not seen anyone, spoke to a doctor twice she said as my hormones are coming back as cycle is returning that I need to give it 3-4 weeks to see if it goes. If not I'll guess she will want to see me first then refer me.

I can feel about 5-6 lumps in my left breast. They all feel like little pebbles under the skin. One lump is easier to feel but I think that's because of west it is.

Both breasts are sore but the left a lot more than the right.

How long have you noticed a lump for?

I've had this for years but its quite stressful wish I could just have a scan every year or something.

I did not find a lump, they did, I went in with another symptom.

@@wingingit987 yeah mines the same, they're both lumpy but it tends to be symmetrical. My doctor always said the key is to recognise the shape and texture of the lumps. If there's any that feel different to the fibrocystic lumps then that's when you should get it checked over. I'm not sure if that's good advice but I think it's just knowing your body.

@Ellabella94 yeah i honestly just can't tel at the moment but that might be due to coming off the injection and starting my cycle again. It's not as tender as before but I'm waiting until the 3rd august. Before I call again xx

I assume I do. One breast has developed lots of sore lumps over the past few months. I contacted GP in May and she said due to covid she wouldn't examine me and the breast clinic would examine me directly. Breast clinic gave me a telephone appointment and said if the lumps are still there in July I would need to come in for examination. Apparently a telephone appt was made for me for earlier this month which I never got a letter about so missed, and now they've rescheduled me a telephone appointment for November. I've complained to PALS.
