Unable to resolve medical issue because of lockdown!

Any help or morale would be amazing.

For the past 6 weeks now I've had itching down below, I thought it was thrush at first which I've had before but the treatment didn't work. I was told that the labs aren't accepting any samples so my doctor's can't send off to find out what I have, they advised I do an STI check (which I'd done prior to getting together with my boyfriend of 4 years) so I did that anyway and that came back negative. They thought it could be BV but I didn't have the typical foul smell so they didn't want to give me antibiotics for that.

The doctors gave me a week of thrush pills which still didn't work and now I'm really despondent about it and don't know what to do. I haven't bothered calling the doctors again because they can't seem to fix it now but it's making my life so uncomfortable.

Anyone having similar experiences because of the lockdown?!

How badly are you itching? If you are not sore but just an itch then it could be hormonal imbalance or vitamin b deficiency.

I’m sure you can get BV treatment over the counter, would that be worth a try?

It could be lichen sclerosis.

In order to assist the dr I would take notes. Is the itching worse at any time of day? Is there any smell, discharge, change in appearance ( yes I know we don't generally peer down there often but do have a good look) are there any white patches? Red patches, sore bits.

Have you changed products recently? New loo roll, washing powder, softener knickers?

Write it all down and call again. They might agree to topical steroid cream or anti histamine depending what they then think.
