Bleeding day after intercourse? Period not due for another week??

Hi girl's

Im 27 and have had a bleed like discharge today.

Not even 24 hours after intercourse with my other half. Seems strange as my period is not due for another week. I doubt im ovulating at this point in my cycle either.

Any one any ideas why this could be so?

Post coital bleeding needs checked urgently as it can be a symptom of cervical cancer. There are other harmless causes too, such as an ectropion, or simple mucosal trauma from over enthusiastic intercourse, but it’s essential to get it checked.
