I've been on the pill from I was 15, im now 35. I was on Loestrin until it was discontinued last year. I was put on Gedarel in Oct.
I have been putting on weight for the last few years, in 2 1/2 years I have put on 2 stone. My bmi is now 33 and i'm classed as obese. I had my blood pressure checked in oct and it was normal but I was lighter then.
Am I still ok to take the pill? I also read if you are overweight it can affect the pill from working is this true

It's not that it stops working, it can be riskier to your health if you take it while overweight. You may be advised to come off it and take the mini pill instead
