A couple months ago I ended up with pelvic Inflammatory Disease. I got a course of antibiotics but I just don't feel 100% right in the reproductive area. I occasionally get strange pains, and there's sometimes fresh streaks of blood in my discharge. Over the last week or so, my breasts have become quite tender and I've had a couple of bouts of sudden and unexplained nausea as well as pain in my lower abdomen, feels almost muscular, but the pain is worse when I lie down and specifically press down on my lower left hand side.
Firstly I panicked I might be pregnant, but I've got the copper coil which is still in place so it's unlikely and I don't think would cause lower abdominal pains? On further research, it sounds like it COULD be a cyst....
Have you had one before? What were the symptoms? Did you get treatment or did it go away on its own?
Apparently they are largely harmless and don't often cause complications so not sure if I should phone GP or wait to see if it gets worse...
