I had a smear last year and since have been wondering if it is normal. Went in for an appointment for something else and he said i was overdue my screening. He offered to do it there and then, but did an internal before doing the smear. I have spoken to many friends, only 1 of which can recall having having been giving an internal at a smear appointment. Is this routine?
