Copper coil

Hi. I was wondering whether anyone else had a similar experience with this?

I had the copper coil fitted in September last year. For the past few months, I've been bleeding between periods and for the last couple, it's been continuous. Today, it's become a lot heavier with cramping and I'm definitely not due on.

I plan to ring the doctors on Monday to discuss but can anyone shed any light?

I've had two over the last 10 years, they were effective (as in I didn't get pregnant) but they both got lost and the last one caused some unusual discharge.

I did have heavier periods and painful stomach cramps with it.

It could have moved, your symptoms sound similar to the ones I experienced.

Best wishes

That was my experience too. The Mirena was completely different - much lighter periods.
