Nightsweats before period - late 20's

Hi everyone,

I'm wondering if anyone has experienced or can shed some light on this.

Basically a couple of days before I'm due AF I , most months get nightsweats which goes when AF starts.

I'm regular and most things I'm reading says early menopause but some say PMS symptoms.

I always get breast tenderness also.

I know I may need to get my FSH levels checked but just looking to see if anyone has the same.

TTC #1 so it's a bit scary!

I always got this from about 25ish onwards. Not early menopause (only just starting to get peri symptoms at 45).

Always had sore boobs as pmt too. I think I was just sensitive to progesterone - I had to take it during fertility treatment (which was due to a tubal issue, hormones always spot on) and I felt awful on them.

@fairyfingers ah thank you for sharing your story!

It's so hard when you google things because it scares you and I only ever get it some months before AF!

It's draining as I get PMS every month Sad

I actually experienced this last cycle and it was the first time I've ever had this happen. I freaked out because the sweats were so bad that I actually got tested for covid (negative thankfully)
I'll keep an eye this month and if it persists then I'll probably make an appointment with my gp to get routine bloods checked to make sure there's nothing else going on.
Currently trying to conceive so fingers crossed I don't get the sweats this month

emmathedilemma · 08/06/2020 11:25

I've had it most months for years, i'm older than you but wasn't peri-menopausal when checked for other reasons. I think it's just a PMT thing.

Campurp · 08/06/2020 11:28

I have always had these in the few days before a period. I’m now 28 and had my first child last year with no issues conceiving. I wouldn’t worry.

I get this. Evening Primrose in a high strength dose has put a complete stop to them. It's changed my life, no longer wake up at 3am needing a shower and a change of clothes!

SalG93 · 08/06/2020 12:27

Ah thank you all so much for sharing your experiences, it's reassuring to hear!

I'm going to take a look at Evening primrose oil, I'm so glad it worked for you!

PMS is so so draining Sad
