Large pale pink lump inside vagina

I’ve just found a really big lump at the entrance of my vagina. It’s about the size of a broad bean. It doesn’t hurt and I can’t feel it but it definitely wasn’t there last time I looked.
I’m freaking out a bit.
My partner was supposed to be coming over for the first time in 10 weeks (I know we’re not supposed to be close but I’m getting a bit desperate.) I think I’ll put him off till I’ve seen a dr. Are they face to face (or face to vagina) appointments at the moment?

Do bartholin cysts look and feel like they are filled with fluid? This doesn’t. It just looks like an extra bit of my vagina.

Are you sure it's not just some poo sitting in your back passage?

gamerchick · 02/06/2020 00:10

Do people really look regularly at their bits? I can't remember the last time I got the mirror out.

TickledOnion · 02/06/2020 00:11

It’s pale pink and at the entrance of my vagina. It’s definitely not poo.
I don’t normally look down there but was having a tidy up of my bush which hasn’t been trimmed for a few months.

Prolapse? If it's freaking you out then obviously get it looked at.

Cheesiebeanio · 02/06/2020 01:04

I had this exactly how you describe, it was a Bartholin's cyst. Antibiotics cleared it in a few days.

OiOiSausage · 02/06/2020 01:06

Try a hot compress on it. If it’s a cyst it might reduce it.

seasidestarfish · 02/06/2020 01:06

It’s probably a spot or a cyst of some kind. If it’s still there in a week I’d go to the drs and I’d certainly not have sex just in case you irritate it

Gingerkittykat · 02/06/2020 01:26

Does it hurt? Is there any kind of dragging feeling? (I have a slight prolapse which moves around and it can feel like that sometimes)

Is it on the vulva or actually inside the vagina?

managedmis · 02/06/2020 01:38

Polyp?

I have no medical training, BTW

TickledOnion · 02/06/2020 07:35

I’ll call the dr first thing today.
It’s like a fleshy extra flap of swollen pink skin inside the vagina but only just. No dragging feeling or pain.
Feel a bit sick from worrying all night.

How old are you and have you had a vaginal birth(s) ?

TickledOnion · 02/06/2020 09:20

I’m 42, had 2 vaginal births.

Had a phone consultation with dr. She wasn’t particularly worried and said to keep an eye on it over the week. If it doesn’t reduce then to call back. Confused

Has hubby got all his bits?

TickledOnion · 02/06/2020 10:26

@WhoWouldHaveThoughtThat

Has hubby got all his bits?
My partner and I don’t live together so I haven’t seen his bits for 10 weeks! Not sure what you meant by the question.

I have one of these and had it looked at, it's apparently part of my hymen that has come down Confused

Can happen apparently

TickledOnion · 02/06/2020 11:25

That’s interesting. It does seem like part of me rather than a cyst.

If it's inside your vagina, then look up cervical polyps. My doctor called them skin tags and said they're nothing to worry about. The internet says you cannot get skin tags inside your vagina and after a lot of stressful googling I eventually discovered cervical polyps, "which GPs will sometimes call skin tags".

cosmo30 · 02/06/2020 11:33

Probably a bartholins cyst if it's quite large and it's right at the entrance, antibiotics would sort it out

AlbusBumblebee · 02/06/2020 11:40

Oh and if it is the same as what I have, my gp wouldn't remove it (even though I suspect it's the reason I find sex painful).
