Lump in breast

I know this has been talked about many times but just want to put my mind at ease a little.
My right breast felt tender the beginning of last week. I then examined my breast and it felt fuller /thicker. I then felt a lump quite bit (I think). The tenderness has gone but my breast feels fuller I’m unsure if the lump has grown or stayed the same. I’m going to phone the doctors tomorrow morning.
What are people’s experience with this? I’ve got it into my head that it’s just a cyst.
Do symptoms of cysts and cancer differ?

Yes you can still see your gp. I would - any changes should be checked.

Is there any way it could be related to your cycle?

I am due on my period next week. I get breast tenderness , however this is a definite lump unlike the other breast and and nothing like I have felt before. I’m 28 so fingers crossed it is nothing bad
