Cervical ectopian/erosion

So I hope somebody else can share their experiences as I am in a total state!!

So I have been having irregular bleeding for a month... I had the contraceptive implant put in this January so I thought I was that.... but I now have bleeding after sex and also bleeding from the vagina when I have a bowel movement...

I have seen 2 doctors about this. They have referred me to colposcopy. But they said I have an erosion of my cervix? But I'm so so worried that it's cervical cancer. I had a smear test only 1 year ago and it was normal! But so much can change in a year can't it??

I had one found at my smear test, said it's not cancer/not going to turn into cancer and quite often are caused by hormone levels. I was getting pain/bleeding from it. I've come off the pill recently and not had any of these symptoms since. X

Hi, thanks for your reply... I've just stupidly been reading... and it says if you bleed from vagina when you have a poo.. it can be a sign of cervical cancer?? But I don't know if a cervical erosion would cause this too??

I have cervical erosion now at 26 weeks pregnant and the same bleeding problems as you so it freaked me out.

But doctors said it is nothing to worry about and just to get a smear test after baby is born. I had the same problem a few years ago and had abnormal cells removed with a LLETZ procedure but it was fine. I’m not worried after speaking to my doctor this time.

And yes they said it causes bleeding after sex or a bowel movement.

Have any of you guys had it where you bleed from front bit after having a poo? Sorry for the detail!!

I had bleeding during pregnancy and was told it was cervical erosion and to have a smear I did and it was normal.

I was told it was fairly normal with hormonal changes. I had a contraceptive implant a few months later and had bleeding after sex I was so worried went to doctors and had CE again but now off any hormonal contraceptive it's all back to normal

Ok.. thank you for the reply... I also have a funny smell down there... but no infection as my swabs came back clear.. I think because I'm worried.. I'm noticing everything. And when I bled from my front after having a poo.. I just freaked out!! But my bowels have been weird too for a few months. But the doctor just said IBS. But I am putting it all together and convincing myself it's all linked and I've got something awful!!
