Started yesterday all of a sudden. I thought it was my nipple but it’s a bit deeper and below it. At first I though it was because I knocked it slightly, but now I think the knock might have made me aware of it. It’s constant but worse if I press it or lean forward (compressing my breast against my bra. No particular lump that I can feel (I’m really quite lumpy normally though). No lump in arm pit. No redness. Nipple looks normal. No fever. Have had to take painkillers.

I’m 42, not pregnant. Not on the pill. Cycle day 22 of 27-31. I don’t normally get much pre-menstrual breast pain, and when I do it’s both sides and very very minor. Youngest child is nearly 5. Never breast fed apart from expressing some colostrum and also some milk for middle child who is now 7.

Any ideas? What it might be or what I could do to help. Ice pack? Will call GP Monday morning if no better.
