Unbearable itch!

I have a horrendous itch downstairs. I ended up putting e45 on it in the night and now it is worse. Going to go to the supermarket this morning, anyone have recommendations? I think I have just irritated the skin by itching it too much!

How old are you?
Perimenopausal itching is horrible and nothing helps except oestrogen.
Failing that it could be thrush so you will need canesten.
There are local anaesthetic creams, but if it is really bad you should get medical advice.

Whereabouts exactly is the itch? ‘Downstairs’ is rather vague, just on your labia? Or inside your vagina?

PowerStruggle · 25/05/2020 06:38

Itch is in my labia - not menopausal, but third trimester of pregnancy which is what seems to have caused the initial itch

could it be worms?

PowerStruggle · 25/05/2020 06:41

Yikes. How would I know if it was worms?

These things always happen on a bank holiday don't they.
You should probably speak to a pharmacist today and call your midwife tomorrow.

Veterinari · 25/05/2020 07:35

It won't be worms on your labia!

It may be dermatitis though

I had thrush in late pregnancy, see the pharmacist
