BUPA cover for hysterectomy?

HELLO12345678912 · 24/05/2020 13:29

Has anyone successfully managed to get BUPA cover for their hysterectomy?

I know they can be difficult if you’ve had painful periods all your life but when do they exclude for horrific PMT and menstrual problems?

Any advice would be great thanks so much

I have corporate bupa and had no difficulty getiing them to cover gynaecology stuff which was an ongoing issue when I got the policy. I didn't need a hysterectomy but it could have been an option.

I had a hysterectomy on Bupa last year, would have got one on NHS but would have been a very long wait. Bupa were excellent, no quibbles anout anything at all.

As long as a consultant says it's necessary/best option for you then they will cover it.
