Had an episiotomy four and a half years ago and have had a previous tear before that. No issues with recovery, never split and seemed to heal nicely. It has really started to sting today. I went to the toilet and wiped. It didn't hurt when I wiped and I did it in a completely normal way. When I left the bathroom I noticed it was stinging and quite painful, I thought it might have been bleeding or somehow I'd been stung by an insect?! So I had a look and it isn't bleeding, doesn't look like it has split on the scar but is still sore and I can feel it now a few hours later. It's quite a sharp pain if I walk about and move normally. Has this happened to anyone else? I thought it looked a little more red than normal but that might have just been because I was prodding the area to see what was wrong and why it hurt.

Make a GP appt, it needs a proper examination. Not sure what it could be but you need a medic to check it. Flowers
