Period has gone AWOL after birth

Hi all,

Wondered if anybody could shed some light on the curious case of the missing period post birth.

I gave birth to my DS via c section in January. He was an IVF baby, I don't have any Fallopian tubes after two ectopic pregnancies.

I had the usual lochia bleeding for 6 weeks afterwards, then had one period at the end of Feb, and another 4 weeks later. Since then there's been...nada. Around 7 weeks now.

I know it can be common for periods to be slightly messed up post birth, but is it usual to have two normal ones then a big gap? I'm definitely not pregnant - did a test just in case there had been a miraculous conception!

Are you breastfeeding?

I don't think it's uncommon for periods to be irregular post birth tbh.

Mine didn't come back for a year (maybe connected with ebf), then I had some that lasted a couple of days, some that lasted a couple of weeks and some that seemed totally absent. Now I'm on the mini pill!

Sorry, should've mentioned that I am ff now after 12 weeks of breastfeeding....
