Hello anyone reading so I’m new on here I’m 22 years old and I’ve got a 11 month old boy. For the first around 3 months I had the normal bleeding, periods spotting ect then I had a one week period stopped for 1 week and then came back on for 7 weeks Constant bleeding I went to the drs had numerous blood test given iron tabs Tranexamic acid and was already on the mini pill and was booked in for ultra sound. The results came back and the dr saw me again and this time weighed me as she thought I was looking very week I had lost 8 pound over Christmas?! The had found what they called a growth on my ovary they was saying it’s fluid and a cyst but she just kept calling it a growth and then she said there was a few polyps so I’ll be undergoing surgery Obviously that’s been postponed during this pandemic well whilst this has all been going on I’ve started to bleed again I’m on week 7 now but it’s just constant every time I wipe there’s always something there it’s now changed to brown and stringy? I was at the drs this Thursday for more blood test And a weight check I’ve lost another stone i was never a big girl but before I was pregnant I was 12 stone I’m now 9stone 8 so it’s a concern for me anyway so will get the results of that next week and I’ve been put on norethisterone This is afffecting me a lot I have no energy I’ve lost so much Weight I look discusting And it’s affecting my relationship with my partner as obviously I’m feeling gross so don’t want to be touched has anyone been through anything like this? There’s also a smell to the blood not the normal iron period smell it’s awfull I feel like there’s more to this then the doctors can see at the moment so just looking for some form of advice Please thank my you guys!! X

Hi @Grace979457632,

We're just bumping your thread to get it back into Active Conversations. Hopefully some Mumsnetters will be along shortly to give you some advice and support. Flowers

Do you know how big your cyst is? A 5cm cyst or under is observation and repeat scan. With your bleeding issues it seems it is problematic even if it is fluid / simple cyst. If you poly's then you need hysteroscopy to remove them. You need a consultant to sort the problem as gp' don't have much experience in Gynaecological issues. Hopefully NHS will soon revert to normal and you will get an appointment. In the meantime ask your GP if going on the pill would help as it would definitely help your periods and heavy bleeding.

norethisterone is a good medicine but sometimes combined pill is better. Also ask.ur GP to do a b12 test.

Tiredness, unusual bleeding and unexplained weight loss mean you should ho back to your GP. The exacerbation I’ve symptoms might mean you should be referred urgently to exclude the possibility of malignancy (sorry) and tests should include a full blood count

Thank you all for getting back to me. The cyst measures at 1.33cm she said around a 5p coin I am currently waiting for a coil to be fitted and hysteroscopy For polyps I will get hold of the doctors first thing tomorrow I think and ask them for a scan as soon as possible just for peace of mind as my scan was back in November I have been on cerrell for 10 months (mini pill) but have been told by the doctor not to take it with the new medication norethiserone I’m on day 4 of taking this and bleeding has seemed to cleared up Now like watery brow spot every now and then when I wipe but there is now abdominal pain which I didn’t have before I have had period issues prior to baby but this is completely different it’s been full red heavy 7 weeks straight I may be thinking into it abit much thanks again
