Lump in breast

Have just woken up and felt a bit of pain as I rolled over. Found a lump in my breast - and now I can’t get back to sleep.
I’m a single Mum, my Mum has breast cancer and now I’m just scared

Oh bless you, try not to panic. I know its easier said than done, but its very likely to be a cyst or something. The main thing is, you found it. Just call your GP in the morning and they'll get you seen ASAP.

I had the same thing a couple of weeks ago. My mum had BC too so I immediately thought the worst. GP called me for a phone appointment the same day, referred me to the hospital and I was seen a week later. Mammogram and ultrasound showed it was a cyst, so no wait for results.

Chances are you'll have the same situation. And if it turns out not to be, you've caught it and taken action, so have the best possible chance of a quick treatment plan.

and don't let anyone fob you off re corona etc. The breast care unit was so quiet they were happy for something to do! I guess all the routine mammograms etc have been cancelled so its only urgent cases being seen. With you family history you will be an urgent case.

I am not usually a worrier but middle of the night is the worst time to discover this. I will
call GP and just hope I can be seen soon.
