Heavy period with clots - feel very weak

Hi all
I had a miscarriage in February, and since then my last two periods have been very heavy with a lot of clots and bright red blood, I'm on day 3 now and the bleeding has slowed but I feel extremely weak and lethargic, my lips are pale. I also recently found out I have a 6cm ovarian cyst. Before the miscarriage I hadn't had a period for 2 years due to pregnancy & breastfeeding, but before this they were fairly regular and not like this at all
Is this normal to feel like this? Obviously don't want to go to doctors at the moment, how do I know if I have lost too much blood? I'm taking iron supplements and trying to eat iron rich food. Any advice would be helpful thank you Daffodil

No it is not normal at all to be feeling like this.

You need medical attention and I would seriously consider going to hospital today. You need more than iron rich foods and iron tablets. All your symptoms now could be attributed to anaemia and this should not go untreated.

You might not want to go to the GP, but you absolutely need to talk to a doctor.

Agree, you need medical Attention.
Honestly the hospitals are quiet at the moment, and they are doing a grand job of separating covid and non covid.
Youll need bloods doing at the very least to check HB, that'll indicate how much blood you've lost.
Then probably some iron tablets, or a blood transfusion if levels are too low.
Can u call 111 for advice?

Thank you so much for all the replies. My gp is sort of aware of the problem, I'm wondering if I have had anaemia a while, but I was being tested for recurrent utis which they were blaming all my symptoms on. My last blood test in mid February seemed to be normal though, I will call 111 today and see what they say

Just wanted to update this incase anyone else finds this thread in future - I called 111 and got a gp appointment, was given tranexamic acid to slow the bleeding which luckily has improved. Also to go to my regular gp for some bloods, she said most likely anaemia. They were very good considering the current situation, I didn't want to burden the nhs with this
I also started taking Spatone today too for now
Thank you for the help xx
