Periods with ovarian cyst?

Hi all
I wondered if anyone has experienced similar? I had a miscarriage at the start of February, had 2 periods since and both have been much heavier and more painful. Lots of clots :( and bright red blood. I found out from a scan last week that I have a large ovarian cyst, would this affect my periods?

Yes it would. I have polycystic ovaries which is different I think but the cysts certainly affect the cycle. Have you been offered treatment for it

Thank you for your reply! Sorry to hear about that :( no I haven’t, I got referred to gynaecologist who said to monitor it and have a scan again in 8 weeks. She said it’s more likely the miscarriage causing heavy periods and gave me tranexamic acid, but it does make sense that it could be the cyst as I had read about polycystic ovaries too! Take care xx
