Bartholin‘s cyst?

I think I’ve got one Hmm
Back story;
I’ve had this lump for a few years now, it’s never really been painful as such just a little annoying and unsightly. Over the past year it’s grown a lot and it’s bigger than a large grape now. It’s still not painful though.
My DH has been asking me to get it seen to for a long time but I guess as it’s not painful I didn’t feel the need, well today it’s painful and with the current pandemic I won’t be going to the gp anytime soon. What can I do, if anything?

Side note;
Idk if it’s at all related but I’ve recently been having reoccurring ‘thrush’ maybe, it happens every month the week before AF is due? I’ve never suffered with thrush before I’m just going off what I’ve read really, it just gets really itchy, dry and sore.
Any advice?
Tia

Hi,
Ive suffered with 2 cysts, both actually turning into abscesses 😭 extremely painful.

The first time i went to the gyno and got it drained/ cathether put in

The second time i used home remedies
Sitz baths throughout the day (very hot)
Sleeping with hot water bottle between legs
And applying a hot compress of 1drop tea tree oil diluted with water. The cyst had drained itself by the morning.

Good luck! Hope it sorts itself soon. Its such a pain!

I had one years ago that I had removed surgically. It was painful and caused discomfort, but a mistake with the type of stitches used afterwards did make sex painful for me long term. On balance I would have preferred a different type of intervention, but at the time this seemed the best option.

I had 3 at the same time which turned to abscesses. Really feel for you. Mine self drained (yeuch) in the end. Salt baths helped. Good luck

Had one years ago that became very painful. If I got one now I’d be off to the GP without hesitation.

I was recommended salt baths and hot flannel but it didn’t help.
