Still suffering from PGP one year on

Hello all

I'd really like to hear from anyone who suffered from PGP long term to know that I'm not alone in this.

I had very bad PGP/ general muscle pain, it started at week 22 and I was on crutches from week 32. I'd been fit very active pre-pregnancy so it was a huge emotional blow for me. Post pregnancy I have worked extremely hard to re-build my body through carefully managed exercise and with the help of a series of professions (Physio, Osteopath, women's health fitness instructor). However, I still seem to be suffering the fall out of what PGP did to my body in the form of constant muscle weakness and pain 12 months on. I'm the fittest I've ever been from exercise classes, but can only walk short distances.

I am still breastfeeding and I am wondering if that is still causing my ligaments to be loose from the relaxin.

Interested to hear (good or bad!) other's experiences.

Hi @jaysay,

We know you posted this thread a few days ago now, but we're going to move it over to our Women's Health topic - hopefully some Mumsnetters will be along soon with some advice and support. Flowers
