Period pants or pads?

I’ve been meaning for a while to trial washable alternative to sanitary towels. Too many disposable ones are scented and they’re awful for the environment.
Any recommendations? I don’t want to spend a fortune on something that doesn’t do the job.
Relevant info? Rather fat size 16 ATM!
Flow can be light but also maybe three days really heavy.
Thanks for any advice.

I’ve just ordered pants - been meaning to try them for a while but my pill means I don’t have periods. Now I’ve stopped taking it and am at home most of the time I thought I’d give them a go. I bought them from a place called Floweret as they were 50% off.

I have Fae Pads from Etsy and I love them. I never did use up the rest of the pack of disposables I had as reusables are so much more pleasant.

As I move towards perimenopause, I have 1 heavy day and then 4 light and they are fine for both kinds of flow.

I have a menstrual cup and some pads in case of leakage. So much better than disposables. There’s no rustling either!

Ok ladies stupid question but if you are using pads ... what do you do with them if you’re say at work and you need to change for a fresh one?? Do you have to wash them every day??

I have a zippable bag which cane with mine and I will seal it in there where I wash when I get home

I love ModiBodi pants and did a lot of research before I got them. Have tried pads before but found the poppers uncomfortable and also a bit thick and fluffy and hot! Made me very uncomfortable. With ModiBodi I genuinely forget i have my period when I'm wearing them and they are so comfortable and light.

Also the overnight pants are amazing, protected right up to the waistline at the back. Think they also do cycling short style for very heavy flow.

I use the ones from cheeky wipes and got the soak box and wash bag too. They're good as once used they fold up and popper close so they're discrete for work. They've also never leaked.

incredible

You get a wet bag you usually get one if you buy a starter bundle or you purchase separately. Put the clean pads in the front pocket and just fold up the used pads and place in the lined main pocket and take home with you.

I then transfer into a big wet bag and store until it's time to wash them all. When I soak in cold water then put in a wash.
