Irregular bleeding after termination

Hi everyone. I'm seeking a bit of advice. I had a medical abortion at the beginning of February. As expected I bled for quite some time after allowing my body to get back to normal. I've never really had 'regular' periods but had my first 'proper' period at the beginning of March. This lasted around 1 week as normal. I began to bleed again at the beginning of April, heavy for the first week and after thatvit has been light bleeding. This has continued for 2 weeks now and is worrying me. Is this normal? Has anyone else experienced this? And should I be worried?

Maybe try ringing where you had the termination for advice or try get a telephone gp appointment hope you are ok. Currently going through this myself and its shit x

Yea I'm going to call my gp in the morning and seek some further advice. With everything going on with covid19 at the minute I'm unsure of what exactly can be done but worth trying

Sorry to hear that. I have a TFMR a few years ago and also had odd bleeding. Have you done a pregnancy test? Strangely, I was never advised to do a repeat test. I bled for 2mths, and had no idea that it wasn't normal. Stopped for 2 weeks, then a 'period' started. Out came a small, product of conception. I had no fever, pain, foul discharge etc.

I did a great deal of reading afterwards, which said that the body will generally try to expel any products, even if it takes 2 or 3 period cycles to do so! I'd do a pregnancy test, but even if its negative, contact where you had the termination and ask if they will do a scan. best of luck x
