Strange period, is this normal?

Hi all,

I'm at the end of of month 2 of ttc after coming off the pill. Last month my period came a day early, I didn't know what to expect as I know periods can take a while to come back after this when coming off the pill, however it came on time. A day early again so exactly a 28 day cycle, which I hoped was a good sign that my body was getting back to normal, although I'm not sure if I'm right tbh!
However my period is so light and brown. Previous periods were red, heavy and brown at the end. I obviously was on the pill, so not natural periods(have been on the pill years so don't really remember my periods before the pill much) , it says online it can be brown at the beginning too so I thought that's fine then. However it's now day 3, and I think its either finished or nearly finished and it has ALL been brown so old blood? My last period was a bit lighter than normal but nothing like this either, a little bit more on Monday but not much since really! So is this a period or not? Have a slight feeling on my left side down there, wouldn't call it a cramp though. I'm confused and can't find online about a whole period being brown/old blood, just that the beginning and end can be brown!

I found the month before I conceived both my children my period was really randomly different to normal.
With my second( due in 2 weeks) I had to have a private scan for my peace of mind because I wasn't convinced of dates and the lady said to me that the amount of times she hears that the period before conception was weird is higher then you would think.
So who knows what's going on but I'm going to hope that next month is your lucky month! 😁

I'm in exactly the same situation, came off the pill after 11 years and on month 2. Both periods have been very short and mostly brown blood, I have endometriosis so prior to going on the pill and during my periods were 7 days long and heavy so this is really weird. Really hoping it settles as this doesn't feel right!

@maudesid sorry just seen your post. Looks like it is definately to do with the pill then, mine has definately stopped now and there was no new blood at all. All brown and very light.
