Workout following csection, 8months pp but really painful?

I had an EMCS in July, really slow recovery as I had pre-eclampsia and Sepsis (this lead to EMCS being carried out).

Haven’t put any pressure on myself to get back into shape but thought while stuck in lockdown I can start doing some mild home workouts to get myself going.

I’ve done 2 days and I’m in a lot of pain around my scar, it feels like it did around 2 weeks pp where coughing and laughing hurts, I’m having to roll on to my side to get out the bed otherwise I get that feeling like it’s ripping open.

DP thinks it’s normal because I’m working muscles and I haven’t really used since mid pregnancy. Or that I may have pulled a lower abdomen muscle. I’m not sure if he’s right or I’m being dramatic 🙈

Don’t really want to use up GP time at the minute either.

Anyone else struggled with workouts after pp?

How does your scar look/feel?
Perhaps you have some significant scar tissue that is pulling?
You could look into c section scar release to loosen it up.

Might this work for you?

@CrossFreelancer my scar looks really good. It’s flat, can’t feel any lumps on it or around it so wouldn’t have thought any tissue problems. Has been checked a few times since and no one raised any concerns.

@flowerareanger this is really similar to what I did do! I found a home workout for post c section so I knew it would be low intensity.

I’m at a loss.
