Spotting for 4 weeks and heavy periods for 13+ days

Hi I'm just wondering if this has happened to anybody
I have been spotting for four weeks and now I'm bleeding heavy with little clots. Bleeding heavily has been 13 days today and I guess I'll still be bleeding heavily (don't know how long for but I really hope it stops).

This started happening to me about six months ago, to the point where I needed to go on iron tablets as I had lost so much blood. Go to your GP, my issue was a hormone imbalance, I was prescribed premulet and that took care of the bleeding and associated exhaustion. I had a Mirena fitted a couple of months ago and have had no issue since. You may not be suffering from the same issue, but if your cycle has changed drastically from the norm, you need to see a doctor to figure out what's going on, and it may be a very straight forward fix. Don't keep suffering in silence.

I would also suggest you contact your gp surgery and indeed do not suffer in silence.
