Lump on gum when pregnant - HELP

Hi all,

I have a whitish looking lump on my upper gum. It's slightly squishy but isn't sore and doesn't affect my eating or talking and isn't painful.

I'm just wondering if anyone else has had the same thing during pregnancy and what was done about it if anything?

I had toothache about a month ago which I saw the dentist for and there wasn't much she could do but this lump has come since then.

Any help / advice appreciated! I have a photo but not sure I want to post it yet

Just a side note - I'm 29 weeks pregnant so could be to do with that. If anyone else has any similar stories would be great to know. Thanks!

first don’t panic there’s a few lumps and bumps that appear in pregnancy Most are totally normal and are due to hormones
In normal circumstances I’d say see the dentist as soon as you can
However just now you probably can’t. Might be worth calling as they may do phone triage and someone can put your mind at rest

In the mean time keep brushing and flossing even if it bleeds - thats normal in pregnancy too. Keep the area clean
And contact the dentist againif there’s pain
