Shaving

Are there any lovely theatre nurses out there please? I had a hysterectomy several weeks ago with a cut from belly button to pubic bone.
I was advised not to shave beforehand but when I came round after the anaesthetic my pubic region had been shaved very neatly. I am mortified over this and I am imagining all the theatre staff talking about me. Please reassure me this is normal?
Thank you x

I’m not a theatre nurse but I think this is normal and they probably do it everyday and didn’t even think about it

Before I had my c section I was told not to shave in case of an infection so I didn't, I was very hairyBlushand very embarrassed as I was awake during the procedure and they shaved me. I think they're used to it and don't think twice about it, hopefully!

This happened to me for a c section. I could hear the clippers and everything, it was very embarrassing as there was quite a young man doing it. Normal though.
