14 day period - help? Evra Patch

Hello everyone,

Just trying to get some advice/answers to my issue I'm currently having.

I had my fourth baby in Jan there and everything was fine, had unprotected sex in February and got the planB which I used on valentines, then I got what I assumed was a period 3 days later. The bleeding was horrendous but settled off and there was no issues.

I then waited for my next cycle to begin and like before (cycles of 31 days).

So my new period begins and I put my Evra patch on (first time using it so I read the instructions) placed it on my arm and went about my day. So cycle day 8 comes where you change the patch and I'm still bleeding. I find this odd due to the 5 day normal for me but I think nothing of this and change the patch.

I get to cycle day 9 and I'm just in my head about this bleeding as I'm not used to it and it doesn't seem normal to me, I researched online and decided to immediately take it off, as I'm not worried about getting pregnant if I am currently bleeding.

So since then I have been having a light bleed, it doesn't soak up the tampon and it doesn't seem like a normal period to me.

I am on cycle day 13 now and the bleeding is still commencing, so I called my doctor whom wasn't very helpful as she said 'not many people use the patch so she doesn't know what could be causing the constant bleeding at the moment'.

I'm just curious has anyone else experienced this and should I be concerned?

I have never experienced such a long bleed and took plan B so if anyone could shed light on this I'd be grateful!

TiA,
X
