Bleeding after over a year of periods stopping

I am 59 and been through the menopause and finished my periods over a year ago. I have a swollen tender stomach and bleeding down below. Should I be concerned

Please contact your GP asap. This happened to my mum a few years back in her early 60's and she left it far too long which caused serious issues for her. The doctors brushed off her concerns when she did go but thank goodness she demanded to be investigated.

I don't want to worry you, but you need to get yourself checked out by your GP without delay.

This happened to my MIL and sparked a load of testing. Please go and get yourself checked out.

Do seek initial medical attention from your GP as soon as possible. You should be referred to a gynaecologist.
