Found a lump

Just looking for somewhere to talk about this.
Found a lump when showering on Saturday - right under my left breast, it feels like it's right next to my rib and it's hard. about the volume of a regular size die
I'm on the phone trying to get through to my GP just now.
Anyone had similar?

Didn't want to read and run.

Not found a lump but had a recent mammogram recall and biopsies.

Thanks, I can't get seen by gp as I had a cold at weekend and they won't let me come in (I understand they need to protect people) I feel really fine, no fever, no dry cough.
I can't be referred for a scan til I've been seen.

My work will imminently tell me to wfh, so I get to sit at home and worry about it

My aunt has had a double mastectomy btw

@cravingthelook it's the waiting that is the worst bit. And if your aunt has had breast issues I understand that heightens fear. But chances are it'll be something simple? (Says me who is on the ceiling haha) 😂

Did you get to talk to a doctor?

I found a lump in my breast over a year ago (top of right breast) had it checked and scanned and it turned out to be a cyst they summed it up to hormones, I was on the combined pill. I still have it now and it increases or decreases in size occasionally but unless it grows too big or causes problems they won't remove it.
I don't have any advice other than to try not fret over it, I know it's hard not to but it'll just play on your mind. Wishing you a positive outcome

Hi op, it’s such a cruel joke that you have this to worry about on top of everything else.

I just wanted to say that I’m sharing this boat with you. I found a lump on Friday. I managed to see my GP in Monday and was referred to the breast clinic, but now I’m waiting for them to contact me.

I’ve been reminding myself that most lumps aren’t cancerous. I just worry that it will take longer than usual to achieve that peace of mind since our health service is currently so stretched.

Hi to all. The fear we feel for something like this along with what else is going on in the world is absolutely terrifying. I do feel all your pain. Hard to say 'keep busy' now too as current climate put a stop to that 😢😢
