HPV positive and lots of discharge

I'm quite embarrassed to post this even though I know it's common but hopefully someone has some helpful advice or has experienced this. I went for my first smear last July and was HPV positive, for w little while now (can't remember exactly how long) but I've been having an increased amount of discharge daily. Notice it on my underwear everyday which I think is more than a 'normal' amount and sometimes notice a lot of clear 'stringy' discharge seem to notice it when I get out of the shower and getting dried. I don't know if the 2 is related. Not sure if this is relative but I'm 26, no health problems and a healthy weight. I have an extremely low sex drive for the past probably 1 year aswell. Been on contraceptive pill for around 10 years now different ones. Should I be concerned? Due for smear again this July.

Hello. Please don't be alarmed about this not embarassed. So many women are hpv positive! Discharge varies from a woman to a woman but if it smells or itches don't be shy and go to your doctor - they'll take a sample and if find anything they'll prescribe a treatment. I'm 34 and have been to doctors about similar concerns 10 times at least and most of the time it's nothing or some pills and it goes away. Try not to stress, eat veggies and familiarise with your 'normal' cause we are all different. Discharge is good and healthy most of the time. Keeps your vagina healthy and defends infections off trust me :)
