Urgent breast clinic referral

For the last couple of weeks I've had a pain in my right breast, last night I saw that the skin on the breast was dimpled in places and discovered that there was a small lump. Been to the GP today who has made an urgent referral to breast clinic to be seen within two weeks for a mammogram and ultrasound. I'm absolutely bricking it, this is the next thing in a whole list of ongoing health problems and I'm at breaking point.

Can anyone who has been through this give me an insight into the appointment, length of time for results etc.

I have a grade 2, stage 2 invasive tumour plus a lot of DCIS at grade 3. Hormone-reactive. I’m starting on tamoxifen first.

@BitOfFun thank you, I have popped in there a few times but finding it difficult to concentrate on all the different conversations at the moment. I seem to have lost my ability to concentrate.
