Mammogram recall

I've been 'invited' for further screening after a recent mammogram and to say I'm terrified is an understatement.

I'm 47 and was invited for mammogram as a trial for 47-50 year olds. Haven't felt any lumps or bumps. No family history.

Went for the procedure all went well. Got a letter this morning giving me 3 days notice for further testing.

Anyone give me any calming advice???,

Sorry I haven’t experience of that but didn’t want your post to go unanswered. Fingers crossed for your results tomorrow.

Hi op. Sorry I haven't had any experience of that either but will be thinking of you today. I'm sure the result will come back fine!

So heard back today, spoke to breast care nurse. She said there are two areas of concern, both are benign, one is definitely calcifications and the other there aren't any calcifications noticed but there are 'benign changes' so got to go for a vacuum biopsy next week. I asked if I need to worry she said no, but she wasn't going to say yes haha.

Thoughts?

How are you doing OP?

Shoegal0305 · 28/03/2020 16:00

@Galwaygirl hi, thank you for asking. I went for my second biopsy last week. Felt a bit more reassured after talking to the doctor. Got results back yesterday. All ok!!! Benign calcifications. I felt I was going to be sick with relief. Just this virus to worry about now Sad.

Thank you all who took the time to help me. I couldn't have got thru it without this forum. X
