Missed period

Sorry if this is in the wrong topic.

My period in January was a couple of days early and this month it is now 4 days late! I'm not pregnant as I did a test yesterday.

I'm normally fairly regular so am wondering why there's a sudden change? Does this happen sometimes?

Worrying a little bit I'm sure there's really no reason to!

I’m in the same boat! My period in January was a few days early and now this month it’s gone awol! 9 days late. So frustrating as we want to TTC our second baby. Definitely not pregnant.

I’m putting mine down to stress. I had unexpected orthopaedic surgery this month after a nasty fracture. Are you stressed at the moment? Lost any weight/upped exercise? Those things could all delay ovulation and consequently your period.

Thanks for replying! This has never happened to me before so I've been really confused! I haven't been any more stressed than usual, I'm more stressed wondering where my period is! I haven't lost any weight recently though have been exercising more regularly again, but definitely not excessively which would perhaps explain it. I feel like it's just a complete odd month and I'm hoping it comes back next month. We want to TTC number 2 later this year too.

Sorry you're in the same boat, especially when TTC!

Any change with your exercise routine might have delayed ovulation (or stopped it all together!) so likely that. I think it’s unfortunately just going to be a waiting game for us both. Annoying though. Given our periods were clockwork a few months ago it seems unlikely to be anything concerning.

Interesting. Mine last month appeared for two days heavy flow (normal for me) then disappeared. Just stopped. I’m now waiting to see if it appears again.

The ta what I thought too. Clockwork until this month! Very strange!

Fingers crossed for us all! Our bodies can do weird things sometimes can't they.
