Still producing breast milk a year after stopping BF

I have extended bf-ing for DS as i didn't want or have to force wean him as a baby and it was more than food but also comfort as all bf'ing mums will know. Anyway DS at last stopped about a year or so ago and yet i'm still producing 'milk' which strangely tastes peppery! It's only on one side as the other dried up quite quickly when he decided to favour the one side as a baby. So is this normal? It's not uncomfortable at all really but i'm aware it's there.
Thanks x
