Morning all. I’ve been on the combined pill for years with no issues, I’ve used it successfully to skip a period (by taking 2 packs back to back without the break week) once or twice when I’ve had a holiday coming up.
Tried to do this for my wedding anniversary almost a month ago but period came anyway. Oh well, I thought, it’ll be gone in a few days. But I’ve been bleeding since then. I’ve googled and it says that sometimes when taking 2 packs back to back you can experience ‘breakthrough spotting’ but this has been a full period for almost the whole pack. Spoke to a friend who said this happened to her and that once she’d had her pill-free week again and started a fresh pack it righted itself.
Just wanted to see if anybody else has had the same?
