Lumps on neck

Last night I noticed two pea size lumps under my skin at the back of my neck, they're quite sore and I've never had them before. Then this morning when I woke up there's another one on the side of my neck and my throat feels weird (not sure, but like there's an ache at the top of it and I'm a bit wheezy).
My scalp has been itchy for the last few days and I have no idea why (definitely not lice or a reaction to shampoo).

I have a doctor's appointment at 5pm today, but just wanted to see if anyone has ever had sometimes similar that wasn't serious? I've managed to freak myself out with Dr Google 😭

Yes I’ve had neck lumps come and go. I was referred once as there was one there for a couple of months and they’re supposed to go down sooner than that but told nothing to worry about. They did explain what they were but I can’t remember now, something to do with being run down - lymph nodes/glands or something. Every so often I’ll feel them again, I’ve got one now and I’m not very well. But they’ll go down within a few weeks.
