Smear test when TTC?

Is there any risk of having a smear test when TTC? A week before ovulation.

You have to have an up-to-date smear to go forward with ivf (so generally are getting smear done whilst you are ttc) and they don’t say anything about any risk so I wouldn’t think so, especially not so long before ovulation. You could call the surgery to ask?

I had one the day before ovulation which led on to a successful pregnancy.

Thanks so much for your responses.

The only silver lining to not falling pregnant last month was a promise to myself to book in my long long overdue smear test. Very happy to hear I won't be conflicted with that promise and my continuing TTC journey
